Rules/Format:
|
Current IFP rules will apply. No non-conforming equipment permitted.
Doubles: All teams will be placed into an initial (seeded) round-robin of 4 teams (assuming events are full). Matches played in the round-robins will be ‘one game to 15’ - win by 1 point. Once the round robin play has concluded the top 2 teams from each round-robin will enter an “A” flight single elimination round (‘one game to 15’ - win by 2 points) and the bottom 2 teams will enter a “B” flight single elimination round (‘one game to 15’ - win by 2 points). If time permits the finals and third place matches will be first team to win 2 of 3 games to 11. If events are full all teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches in each doubles event entered. Singles: Format will be determined by the number of entries - round-robins will be used whenever feasible. Note: Only one time-out permitted per game. Tie-breaks in round-robins will be decided successively by head-to-head results then least number of points conceded, and will only be used to resolve the order of those teams/players involved in the tie. Due to time and space constraints entry is limited to 24 teams for the Men's & Women's doubles events. The limit for the Mixed Doubles event will be 32 teams. We recommend entering early to avoid disappointment. The Tournament Director/Committee reserves the right to change the format. |
