The Salt Spring Pickleball Association had good news for members as reported on their web site yesterday:
"Our very own Country Grocer takes pride in supporting local community initiatives and organizations. One of the very effective ways that they do this is through their "save-a-tape" program. We are delighted to announce that we have recently made arrangements with them allowing our Association to benefit from their generosity.
As of today, Country Grocer will donate, to the SSI Pickleball Association, 1% of the value of purchases at the store, as evidenced by cash register tapes deposited in the PICKLEBALL box #128 (lower rows), near the west-side exit doors.
So, when you need to go into the Kitchen (don't we all) why don't you first step right into Country Grocer . . . no lines to worry about. As you leave, pop the tape into Box 128 and help your Association and Community!"
Can this be duplicated in other communities?
