Norm Wollbold (Nanaimo) sends this report from Ecuador where he is spending the winter:
"Playing pickleball in Cotacachi, Ecuador. About 12 to 18 regular players, mostly between 3.0 & 3.5. All from various parts in US and most of them xpats with permanent residences here. Took a little adjustment to play at 8000 ft. You get out of breath easier and the ball travels markedly farther. Cotacachi is between 2 xtinkt volcanoes and it is very mountainous. People and music are great and the beer is cold, although you have to be REALLY careful pouring it because the fizzing goes crazy because of the altitude."
