 Onix Pure 2 outdoor ball | The pickleball community have been eagerly waiting for the new Onix Pure 2 balls to arrive, and they are now available on the Island at Courtside Sports (Victoria). Players have been testing these balls for several months and they seem to resist cracking and going out of round. Specs: (Compared to Dura 40) Weight: 25 grams (25 grams) Diameter: 2.875 inches (2.938 inches) Bounce from 75″ on concrete floor: 33 inches (32") Two-piece construction, seamed ball (same) 40 holes - same size (40 holes - varying sizes) If they live up to their reviews we believe they will become the ball of choice for outdoor play. Courtside Sports have received only a small order (100 balls) of the Onix Pure 2 balls at this time - cost $3.50 each. When more stock arrives they will offer a box of 100 balls for $299.00. The indoor version of this ball, which will likely replace the no longer approved Jugs ball, will become available later this year. |
