Would your local pickleball group/community/club benefit from a presence on the web? For new players to find you online your web site needs to hit all the right notes to be recognized by the major search engines. For players to keep returning to your site it needs to be kept fresh, with new and relevant content.
A web site that is properly hosted (not the free ones that have thousands of sites crammed onto a small server) will cost a minimum of $5.00 per month, often much more. Securing and retaining a domain name adds another ongoing cost.
We are offering the opportunity for local pickleball groups/clubs to have an effective web presence by ‘piggy-backing’ on to the established site run by PICKLEBALLBC. Your group/club would have their own page (or pages) with exclusive access to change and/or up-date content, and would have a unique address (URL) that could be used in any other communication with your players.
We would set up a listing on the “Where To Play” page for our Vancouver Island Pickleball Association and also the "Where To Play" page for PICKLEBALLBC, both of which would link directly to your new page - the targeted traffic both sites generate would direct new players and/or visitors to your page(s).
Here’s a simple example of what a club/group page could look like: Fanny Bay Pickleball
Changing or up-dating content is relatively easy, especially if you have some computer experience – if you run into any problems we are here to help.
Many existing pickleball club sites duplicate information on pages dealing with: rules, ratings, links, about pickleball, tournaments, etc., and these need to be constantly monitored to ensure they are relevant and functioning. These pages will be unnecessary because the ‘parent’ site (PICKLEBALLBC.ca) has this covered.
To help with the added costs of securing password-protected access for changes/up-dates we would charge $20.00 per annum for a club/community/group to host their page(s). You will notice in the example we have set aside space for a sponsor. We would be surprised if a local group were unable to find a couple of sponsors willing to pay more than enough to cover the hosting costs.
